DJ Playero, was a key figure in the dissemination of reggaeton during its formative period in the 1990s, he produced a series of mixtapes that synthesized hip-hop and reggae rhythms with Spanish-language freestyling. These tapes circulated around the barrios of San Juan and were highly influential upon the generation that would go on to define reggaeton in the coming decade.

Riobamba is an Ecuadorian-Lithuanian producer, DJ, and cultural activist based in Brooklyn. Riobamba’s rowdy, deeply researched live sets reflect back nightlife’s power as a site of joy and resistance, amplifying connective tissues between YouTube clips, dembow brujería, bodega soundtracks, and noise hyperreality "suped up with a twisted, industrial gnarl"

Mixpak is a Brooklyn-based record label, founded in 2009 by producer Dre Skull. A contemporary encapsulation of the classic Brooklyn-Caribbean connection, the label is home to some of Jamaica’s biggest stars, releasing full length albums with Vybz Kartel and Popcaan as well as riddim releases featuring Beenie Man, Machel Montano, Tifa, Spice and more. However, much like New York, Mixpak is a globally-minded endeavour without genre boundaries or confines – delivering music from rappers, underground club producers and experimental electronic artists alike. On any given day you might find us recording in Kingston, bringing Swishahouse to a warehouse party in NYC, performing at Notting Hill Carnival or hunkering down on artist development and workshopping with engineers & songwriters in our studio.
