Le festival corse revient pour sa 8ème édition les 3, 4 et 5 août, pendant trois jours sur la plage et trois nuits sous les étoiles près de la station balnéaire idyllique qu’est Cargèse. En 2018, Cargese Sound System s'est associé à Centris Events, le groupe à l’origine de Brunch -In et DGTL Barcelona. S'appuyant sur leur riche expérience, l’objectif est d’aboutir à un concept plus développé : Le Cargese Sound Festival. Avec une énergie renouvelée, le festival se concentrera sur un engagement plus profond avec ses racines Cargésienne.
Vibe Architects s'est engagé à développer l'aspect et la convivialité du festival afin de mettre en évidence la beauté naturelle de la Corse.
Cargese est un village du sud de la Corse dans le canton de Sevi-Sorru-Cinarca. Situé au-dessus de Punta di Cargese, le village possède plusieurs monuments historiques qui en font un lieu emblématique de la région corse. Deux églises, l'une latine et l'autre orthodoxe, représentent l'histoire de Cargèse comme un point de rencontre des cultures. Le village est placé entre plusieurs caps marqués par trois tours de guets.
Présentant un programme musical portant sur des artistes avant-gardistes à travers le spectre de la musique de danse, Cargese Sound Festival invite le public à s'évader en Méditerranée pendant trois jours et trois nuits dans la pittoresque ville côtière de Cargese.
La programmation de 2018 comprend un mélange de vedettes internationales, de nouveaux venus sur la scène de la danse française, et démontre toujours son engagement à soutenir les DJs locaux. En tête du classement, la star sud-africaine Black Coffee, le chef de Crosstown Rebels Damian Lazarus, l'auteur de Detroit Derrick May, créateur du label Life and Death DJ Tennis, star montante de Rome Lowris basée à Paris. Margaret Dygas, résidente du Panorama Bar, Marvin & Guy, les cow-boys italiens, tINI, chef de gang allemand, jouant b2b avec Molly du Rex Club, et la star parisienne Traumer.
Contenant une sélection des meilleurs artistes émergents de la Corse, la programmation du Cargese Sound Festival 2018 démontre l'engagement continu de l'événement en leur fournissant une plateforme de renommée internationale. A côté de ces artistes, d'autres stars émergent de toute la France et du reste de l'Europe, complétant ainsi la programmation.
Cargese Sound Festival est facilement accessible depuis la ville corse d'Ajaccio, avec des correspondances directes vers de nombreuses grandes villes d'Europe dont Paris, Londres, Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Bruxelles et bien d'autres.
En ce qui concerne l'hébergement, les festivaliers peuvent se tourner vers un petit nombre d'hôtels locaux, ou vers des locations Airbnb ou encore vers des campings à proximité du site. The boutique Corsican festival returns to Cargese for it’s 8th edition on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of August, set across three days on the beach and three nights in a boutique festival site near the idyllic seaside town of Cargese. In 2018 Cargese Sound System joined forces with Centris Events, the group behind Brunch -In and DGTL Barcelona, drawing on their wealth of experience in order to deliver a developed concept: Cargese Sound Festival. With renewed energy the festival will focus on generating a deeper engagement with its roots in Cargese, with Vibe Architects enlisted to develop the look and feel of the festival in order to highlight the natural beauty of Corsica.
Cargese is a village in southern Corsica in the Canton of Sevi-Sorru-Cinarca. Located above Punta di Cargese, the village has several historical monuments that make it an emblematic place of the Corsican region. Two churches; one Latin and the other Orthodox, represent the history of Cargese as a meeting-point of cultures. The village is placed among headlands marked by watchtowers.
Delivering a musical program on the forward-thinking artists across the spectrum of dance music, Cargese Sound Festival invites audiences to escape to the Mediterranean for three days and nights in the scenic sea-side town of Cargese, with the day program spent taking in the sun at the beautiful beach stage and nights dancing under the stars in a nearby boutique festival site. The lineup for 2018 includes a mix of international stars, newcomers to the French dance music scene, and shows a continued commitment to supporting and developing local DJs. Leading the way is convention defying South-African breakthrough star Black Coffee, head-honcho of Crosstown Rebels Damian Lazarus, Detroit originator Derrick May, creator of the integral Life and Death label DJ Tennis, Rome-born and Paris-based rising star Lowris, Panorama Bar resident Margaret Dygas, Italian cowboys Marvin & Guy, German gang-leader tINI playing b2b with Rex Club's Molly, and Parisian star Traumer.
Containing a selection of Corsica’s best up-and-coming artists, the Cargese Sound Festival 2018 lineup demonstrates the event’s ongoing commitment providing them an international platform. Alongside these artists are other emerging stars from across France and the rest of Europe, succinctly completing the lineup.
Cargese Sound Festival is easily accessible from the Corsican city of Ajaccio, with direct connecting flights to many major cities across Europe including Paris, London, Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Brussels and many more. This in conjunction with flights arriving from across France leaves Cargese an easily accessible festival location. Accomodation is provided by a small number of local hotels, ample Airbnb rentals or camping close to the festival site. 3 day tickets for the festival start from 49€, confirming its place as an affordable boutique event in the Mediterranean.
