We've been wanting to do this booking for quite some time, and are psyched to bring out Josh Cheon, boss of one of our favorite record labels, Dark Entries, for a 5 hour set. The first hour will be all unreleased Patrick Cowley records, so get there early and get weird with us!
Josh is handily one of the most exciting figures in the stateside dance music scene today, having founded Honey Soundsystem in 2008, and going on to launch Dark Entries the next year. In it's nine year run, Josh has released over 200 records on the label, and was highlighted as Resident Advisor's label of the month late last year.
Josh has re-released and remastered some of the best underground italo, electro and new wave tracks of the 80s, in addition to releasing new material from the likes of Bezier, Red Axes, Savage Hymn, The Hacker and Solitary Dancer.
There's not an OV party that goes by where we don't play some Dark Entries records, and we can't wait to bring Josh up to Portland for his first time here in over a decade.
