Heavily involved in Germany’s electronic music scene since 1991, Monika Kruse is now considered to be one of Europe’s true pioneers of techno. With an unyielding sense of commitment, a myriad of releases on several revered labels - in addition to her Terminal M imprint - and a strong sense of social and political awareness, Kruse is arguably one of the most loved and respected artists this side of the electronic realm.
A familiar face on Familia’s back catalogue of bookings, Kruse returns for a Terminal M showcase accompanied by a solid troupe of artists from the imprint, including Mark Reeve, Paride Saraceni, Frankyeffe, Uakoz and Familia regulars Fabio Ferro, Ben Grunnell and Miky J.
After a busy few months of shows covering Rex Club, Gashouder and Caprices Festival amongst others, Kruse brings her broad music taste and fiercely tuned ear to the Middle Floor for a thoroughly engaging experience, showing her powerful Terminal M sound throughout. With a sonic library that touches on dance music from Munich’s 90s rave scene to high energy, more contemporary techno productions, a set from Kruse carries a rich array of mellifluous rhythms from beginning to end.
Mark Reeve joins Kruse after the recent release of his Drumcode EP ‘Far Away’ which marks new beginnings and ideas from the Frankfurt-based producer. An addition to Amsterdam’s first Drumcode festival this summer, Reeve returns to Egg on the cusp of a busy touring schedule. Balancing production work with life on the road, Reeve is an artist who wears his heart on his sleeve and continues to churn out raw, visionary sounds which have earned him the status of a true craftsman which he’s known for today.
London based producer Paride Saraceni makes a welcome return to Egg after building a discernible discography of hypnotic, groove-laden cuts on Terminal M, Truesoul and I/AM/ME in the last number of years. The 26-year-old has undoubtedly been part of an upward trajectory on the global dance music scene, earning support from techno heavyweights Dubfire, Laurent Garner, Richie Hawtin and many more. Highlighted as Be-At.TV’s ‘one to watch’, Saraceni’s profile is set to soar throughout 2018.
Frankeyeffe completes the billing, a burgeoning artist who has released a slew of pounding tracks on Tronic, Truesoul, Soma and of course Terminal M.. Hailing from Rome, Frankeyeffe is part of the new generation of talented Italian artists who is steadily working his way around Europe with a series of credible gigs and festivals.
