- Free Admission It's been nearly six years since the radio show Canela En Surco was born under the direction of Abu Sou and the collaboration of Chez Ed, Ivy Barkakati & Dj Bruce Lee. Now Canela En Surco has become a record label by way of reviving "Universo da Ilha" Vasco Martins, one of the most advanced conceptual albums of the 1980s from the Cape Verde archipelago and a turning point in New Age and cosmic music created in the history of the African continent. To celebrate the launch of "Universo da Ilha" (Canela En Surco Records 001), Abu Sou and Chez Ed will be with us all night, starting with a full listening session of the LP through the club's superb soundsystem, after which they will respond to any questions from the public. Then they will DJ B2B with records from their vast collections.
