Continuing our annual rooftop opening tradition, we are happy to present our line up for The Roof's opening weekend!
Move D is the ultimate music producer. Since an early age, German-born David Moufang showed a keen interest to music and space. He spent his scholastic career learning classical music, establishing himself as a solid multi-instrumentalist, and eventually moving to the decks. It was finally his discovery of early ambient techno that got him hooked. Since then, he has produced some of the most recognized records in the electronic music industry, ranging from Detroit-inflected grooves to wired electronic jazz. Oscillating from soft, dreamlike textures to spiked electronics, his debut album Kunststoff left a mark on the industry. Today, Move D is still expanding himself as a producer, while performing some of the most remarkable sets all around the world. We’re looking forward to this grooviest Sunday on the Roof with Move D!
SIT is the collaborative power of longtime friends Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia, from Romania. Cristi Cons is an educated musician who studied the cello for 18 years. He really only started deejaying around in the last 8 years but production has been his main point of focus. Vlad has been in the electronic music game since his early teenage years, when he began experimenting with a midi sequencer and a keyboard. Together, they now manage the record label Amphia and are committed to bringing some of the deepest and most innovative sounds from Romania. After their excellent set at our 10 Year Anniversary party (and after party) we couldn't wait long for their return!
On resident duties, Lauren Ritter will be the first to bless the decks on the very first Rooftop event this year at our favorite Output.
