He has an upcoming track on 'Metro Jaxx Volume Two' and is making his debut at I Love Acid. Expect proper floor-filling acid, and beats to jack your body. Big! -- #2. NEZ (Computer Controlled / DSNT) For the first act to be announced in the the Don't room at Corsica studios, we're proud to welcome direct from Belfast, the DJ known as Nez !! The brains behind the brilliant Computer Controlled label, that has released music from Chris Moss Acid, Mark Forshaw and DJ Overdose amongst others ! Nez is also resident at Belfast's premier Techno night, DSNT and is able to doff his cap at many strains of Electronic music, but for this party (also his London debut!) he'll be smashing out the raw and uncompromising Techno sounds over Corsica Studios' lush sound system on the 23rd June -- #3 GRANARY 12 (Metro Jaxx / Balkan Viniyl / Ten) First ever London show for the Scottish duo, comprising of Ewan McVicar (TEN) and Steven Simpson (1Ø Pills Mate / Lobster Theremin). Their debut release, the Moodymann sampling 'MancMania' featured on Metro Jaxx Vol. One and has been absolutely caned out this year by the likes of the Black Madonna, getting Radio One play and heavy club/festival rotation. Steven Simpson joined Posthuman for their Boiler Room show last April, and both he & the duo have further releases due on Balkan this year... #4 TUBE JERK aka TIM WRIGHT (Live) (Novamute, Sativae, Tresor, Varvet, iLL) Joining us in the Don't room at Corsica Studios, we are very happy to fill a large hole, someone who until now has been notably absent in the history of our lineups.. Known for his signature groove that takes the bump & skip of UK Garage, melding it together with Techno and Rave to form something truly unique. A recording artist of the highest calibre who has been obscenely influential on Don't, recording 12"s and an album for one of our favourite labels, Sativae. Plus releasing a string of singles for the mighty Novamute label, a 12" on Berlin's Tresor and more recently a couple of outings on Fabric resident Craig Richards' 'The Nothing Special', and kicked off Berlin's Varvet label with a smashing 12" last year. And all that is just the tip of the iceberg, recordings-wise He was also the engineer behind most of the output of Big Dada signed Hip hop crew New Flesh Tim Effin Wright !! -- #5 KIRSTI (Null & Void / KMAH) For the next line up announcement for the Don't Vs I Love Acid Midsummer madness at Corsica Studios, we are proud to invite a selector that has long been gathering listeners through her regular show on KMAH Radio plus guesting on Rinse FM and playing out far and wide including notable appearances for Krake Festival (Berlin), Bangface Weekender, Fabric, Love Love, Plex, Hypercolour and of course Don't back in 2014. Kirsti has long proven her dedication to unearthing and enlightening through her excellent blog (www.Null-Void.co.uk) which in 2015 also morphed into an excellent record label that concentrates on pushing forward thinking electronic music in line with her own manifesto (Look out for 2 new releases dropping very soon !!) -- #6 JOE MUGGS The likeliness is, if you're into underground dance music in the UK - you have probably read an article or interview by Joe Muggs at some point. He's been playing records, buying records, writing about records, and talking to the people who make those records since the 1990's. His words have found their way onto the pages of The Wire, Mixmag, DJ Mag, RA, Vice, FACT, I-D, you name it... But he's also been spinning the platters that matter for a good few years now, with Glastonbury, Big Fish Little Fish, Hope Works, Bestival, and more recently Spiritland as notches on his 1210. We're in for a treat as he digs deep into the more unexpected & obscure world of acid wax. He'll be joining the I Love Acid crew.. -- #7 OVERWORX Joining us in the Don't room on June 23rd we're looking forward to hearing an exclusive set from OVERWORX !! OverworX is the new project from Ben Pest, originally signed to Ninja Tune as keyboard player for freeform funk scallywags, PEST, Ben is no stranger to 'the funk' and has spent the last 13 years inserting copious amounts of it into his ever morphing live set which he's toured extensively up and down the country and around Europe and beyond ! OverworX is a continuation of that sound albeit with a slightly harder edge to it, as demonstrated by the recently released 12" on his new label. Recently rediscovering his love for DJing (to rave reviews from those who've witnessed it), Ben will be playing an exclusive OverworX DJ set including many of his own recent and unheard productions alongside longstanding Techno influences that helped mould his sound since the 90's . Can't wait for this one !! -- #8 POSTHUMAN vs NEVILLE WATSON A brand-new live hardware show between I Love Acid resident Posthuman and UK house legend Neville Watson. 101+303+606+707+808+909+Volca improvised jam session. -- #9 NO DATA AVAILABLE The final lineup announcement is another live act that gets the room jacking every time..with a release dropping soon on Null+Void, a collaboration on Super Rhythm Trax, and two previous appearances at Don’t, it’s fair to say this act is part of the family and he’ll be playing a fully live and improvised set for us straight from the boxes.. and not to forget... JEROME HILL Don't / Super Rhythm Trax / Bleeper / Fat Hop bossman and party resident will be taking to the turntables himself. That's your lot. MASSIVE lineup, tickets still only a tenner, and running til 7am+. You know what to do ravers
