- Electronic group Vessels play a DJ set and live show for Robert Smith's Meltdown special edition of Concrete Lates. Vessels have been at the forefront of the UK electronic music scene since their formation in 2005. After four years of incremental musical evolution, Vessels emerge with a brave and brilliant new sound, masterfully fusing the widescreen builds and elegant breakdowns of their previous work with more physical electronic rhythms. The band have graced stages at the legendary Berlin techno club Berghain and festivals such as Beat-Herder, Beacons, Glastonbury and Simple Things. Like Jon Hopkins, Moderat and Caribou before them, Vessels have pulled off the elusive trick of translating their intricate studio creations to the live arena. Concrete Lates is Southbank Centre's new late-night electronic music series, bringing you underground sounds until 2am in Queen Elizabeth Hall's standing venue.
