BEPPE LODA
Renowned as the pioneer of electronic music in Italian clubs, Beppe Loda first made his DJ debut in his native town of Manerbo in 1973. However it was 1980 when Beppe took up residency at the seminal Typhoon Club in Brescia, fusing the unique mix of synth based prog, electronic new wave and industrial dance sounds that came to be known as ‘Afro’ or ‘Cosmic Disco’ that the legend of Beppe Loda - the man and his music - was born.
Throughout the eighties, Beppe expanded his talents from DJ to producer, contributing to countless italo anthems as well as founding the group MC1, prime-movers within the emerging ‘italo-synth’ scene, and collaborating with ‘EGOTRYA’ a more ‘prog’ or ‘cosmic’ sounding act.
A decade later and 1990 sees the ever prolific Beppe recording as acclaimed ‘space disco’ act SIRIUS, before embarking on the illustrious ITALOWERK project, laying down the template for the italo-influenced disco sound that, from Turin to Tokyo, sets dancefloors on fire today. Over the following years he has also found time from DJing worldwide to remix over 60 other artists. And in addition to forging his own musical odysseys has been canonised by the Swedish National Cultural Centre and the New York MOMA, Museum of Modern Art for his musical innovation and contribution to dance culture.

CHRIS LOW
Throughout the 1990s Chris ran a number of Edinburgh’s most successful club nights, guested at aftershow parties on Kraftwerk’s 1991 tour and DJd throughout Europe, America and Tokyo. He has played on US house station 91.5 WPRK and can boast releases on Pro-Jex & SW20 Records plus an acclaimed DJ Rush remix.
