  • Something BIG is coming to the Big Smoke this summer folks! As many of you know, sadly Simon Shackleton is giving his annual boat party a miss this year but fear not …. we have the next best thing! Aiming to bring together the same great crowd and the same great music, all round The Lovebug Experience has stepped up to the mark and booked the infamous The Dutch Master which will be sailing down the Thames this July 6th. Headlining, we have Finger Lickin' Records Drumattic Twins and Breaksjunky - need I say more?! Last but not least, there is also an after party where Fifties will be joining Martin Chandler, JayBee and Marc Fisher playing. We want to bring you a wonderfully passionate night cruising with some Tech to Bass-Heavy Beats. So if you fancy a proper get-down on the river this summer, here are the details ... Tickets are now on sale for both the Party Boat + After party here: http://www.ticketweb.uk/event/lovebug-experience-boat-party-the-dutch-master-tickets/8338465 DRUMATTIC TWINS - Lanx and Nick Slater, aka the Drumattic Twins, have been a leading force in dance music since they first began touring over 20 years ago. Making their name as Shades of Rhythm, they ruled the early nineties rave scene with legendary anthems ‘Sweet Sensation’, ‘Sound of Eden’, ‘Extacy’ and ‘Homicide’ and performed with the likes of The Prodigy and N-Joi, achievements that set them on course for the highly respected and diverse musical career that followed. Since rebranding themselves as the Drumattic Twins in 1997, Nick and Lanx quickly replicated this global notoriety thanks to massive hit tracks ‘Feelin Kinda Strange’ ‘Twister’ and ‘HyperSpeed’. They teamed up with the legendary release platform Finger Lickin Records in 1999 and settled quickly into the close-knit world of the breakbeat scene, working alongside global acts such as Plump DJs, Soul of Man and Lee Coombs. Fusing this sound with their house music roots only ever worked in their favour, producing unique tracks that visited several genres including funk, house, hip hop and of course breakbeat, and resulted in two albums (Drumattical, 2002 & Hammer & Tongs, 2009) and numerous worldwide hit singles. Now signed to Sugarbeat Records, you can expect Drumattic Twins material to be dominating the download charts from here on in, kicking off with a string of releases in the coming months. In their own words, "For us this is the third stage of our career, we have done the rave days, we have done the Finger Lickin thing, now it’s time for the Sugarbeat Era...” Bring it on guys. BREAKSJUNKY - After being nominated in 2013 at Breakspoll International Breakbeat Awards for 'Best Breakthrough DJ' and narrowly missing out, he came back in 2014 even stronger to not only take the Award (putting his name on everyone’s lips) but also adding 'Best Radio Show' to the collection. When Manchester's Breaksjunky first stepped up to the decks in 2002 he had a simple ambition, to infect the masses with Big, Fat, Dirty BASS!! Since those early days he has only gone from strength to strength with a string of performances for some of the biggest names in Club Land, playing along side the like of: Grandmaster Flash, Dj Qbert, Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors, The Freestylers, Deekline, Dj Fixx, Keith Mackenzie, Dub Pistols, Meat Katie, Far Too Loud, Gaudi & Justin Robertson to name a few. 2013/14 saw him play a string of stand out sets across the U.K and take to the stage at Boomtown Fair, Moovin Festival, Ravenstonedale Festival and being Honoured with opening the amazing, 'Fortress' stage at The Beat-Herder Festival. As well as his own Radio Show, Awards and DJ sets, Breaksjunky is also a chart success, With “All That Junk” co produced with Zen Cartel, "What What What" & "Rock The Disco-Tek both co Produced with Leuce Rhythms and "GET EM" co produced with Alekay. Most recently Breaksjunky has started to infect USA, performing at multiple events at the 2015 Winter Music Conference in Miami, shortly followed by a 5 show US Mini Tour in the summer which too was a huge success.
