  • Andrei Orlov / Stain - SENSE MODULE This music fantasy explores the ability and desire to empathize, exchange ideas and dive deep into a virtual representation of other people’s experiences. This is a modern parable about mutual openness, strengths, and weaknesses of technology and relationships between people. The musical part of the project, produced by Andrei Orlov, is a series of instrumental pieces performed on synthesizers built in the late 1970s — early 1980s. The music here is inspired by space electronic music, ambient, proto synthpop and Berlin School. The visual part, produced by the Stain studio (Alexandra Gavrilova and Sergey Titov), brings together the aesthetics of early computer graphics, analog video synthesis, and abstract images. The graphics, generated in vvvv live-programming environment and synchronized with sound, create a real-time narrative of imaginary events. NSDOS - SWITCH A performance that questions the relationship between the composer and the dancer: can we become both? What does the dancer propose to inspire the composer? And the composer to inspire the dancer? Martin Messier - FIELD Martin Messier assumes that it is possible to create sounds using electromagnetic fields of our environment. These residual and imperceptible electric signals are picked with electromagnetic transducer microphones and become generators of the performance. On stage, he plays with two connections patches that offer numerous possibilities to connect outputs to inputs. In the continuous process of plugging and unplugging, Messier interacts with them, thus noise and light composition emerges. With Field, Messier gives power to the material otherwise inaudible and invisible.
