Purple Sneakers has existed for the past twelve years with the purpose of showcasing emerging club music from Australia and around the world. Bringing together an enthusiastic team of contributors from across the country, Purple Sneakers is the centre of a forward thinking, music loving community.
Started as a weekly party featuring emerging club music. We’ve always been about emerging club music, whether it’s on our radio show, on our website, in our DJ sets or at our parties.
Purple Sneakers gave first shows to Flume, RUFUS, Alison Wonderland, Cloud Control, Nina Las Vegas, Linda Marigliano, The Rubens, Disclosure’s first Melbourne show, Flosstradamus’ first Melbourne show plus many many more.
We’ve celebrated our birthday as an official part of Vivid festival for the past two years and are doing it again this year.
