Circo Loco Warehouse Party

  • Well, well, well, what a party we have in stall for you this month. For this very special soiree two of the nations finest clubbing institutions have teamed up to bring you a truly remarkable line-up of unforgettable electronic music all inside the extraordinary Victoria Works warehouse. The venue boasts a crystal clear sound system in a proper warehouse space: one word; HUGE! For the last 6 years, Asylum has grown in to clubbing brand to rival any in the country whilst at home in Leeds it is a sure fire hit with the locals and hoards of travelers. Basics on the other hand has been a firm favourite in the city for the last 17 years, not only that but has been a pioneer of house and electronic music too securing it as a global clubbing institution. Both clubs are ran by two very charismatic individuals and since Asylum's birth there has been consistent talks between Dave Beer and Tom Thorpe about doing a party together. Now, finally the moment has come and boy is it going to be a special party. So, for their first party together how have the super clubbing brands; Aslyum and Back to Basics decided to commemorate this occasion? They have decided to host a warehouse party with the most infamous clubbing brand on the planet, Circoloco. Circoloco rests its weary heads at none other than DC:10 in Ibiza, the now legendary; almost mythical club which hosts the infamous Monday day time parties. Since its inception, Circoloco has too developed into a global player on the dance music circuit and you can find its crew of residents playing at various parties across the globe. Fortunately for them they probably have the biggest list of underground Djs as residents on the planet including djs such as Luciano, Tania Vulcano, Ricardo Villalobos and plenty more who will be gracing our massive warehouse party in Leeds. And what about the line up for this seminal warehouse party in Leeds? Well, don't say we don't spoil you because we have invited Timo Mass, Matthais Tanzmann, Jamie Jones, Clive Henry, Simon Baker, Burnski, Dave Beer B2B Tom Thorpe, PBR Streetgang, Negghead and Andy Whitaker. Now that's what I call a line-up! Timo Maas First up on the bill we have one of the finest Djs, producers and remixers on the planet. Hailing from electronic music haven; Germany, Timo has had releases on Cocoon, Ultra and Ministry of Sound whilst having the pleasure of remixing everyone from Madonna to Depeche Mode to Jamiroquai to Kelis. Timo is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the tech-house and minimal movement and dj sets are always show-stopping. Matthias Tanzmann A firm favourite a Basics for some time now, Tanzmann has had releases on labels such as Dessouss and Poker Flat as well as co-founding the Moon Harbour imprint. Djing for over 15 years Tanzmann's style rides the deep vibes that lie between house and techno. Jamie Jones JJ is no stranger to Leeds and has murdered many a dance floor in a city which must be one of his favourite cities to play. As well as having releases on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Cocoon, Get Physical and Poker Flat Jones' debut album is just about to drop too. Clive Henry Formerly of tribal house due Peace Division Clive can now be found all around the world repping the Circoloco brand as one of its most revered residents. Behind the decks Clive is a special talent, and anyone that was at Asylum last year will remember just how special he can be. Simon Baker A bit of home-grown now with Simon Baker. Long time Asylum resident the last year for Baker has been mental. Largely since the release of his global smash Plastik Baker has taken to the internatioanal clubbing circuit like a fish to water and is carving his way as one of the hottest talents around. Burnski Time for another local boy, Burnski is the youngest person and resident at 20 to ever play at Basics, a residency which he still holds today. It is undeniable how much talent this boy has actually got, but what is even surer is that he knows how to work a crowd like no other. Dave Beer B2B Tom Thorpe And now a very special and rare treat. The two founding fathers of these seminal club nights go back to back for one night only. I'm sure you'll have to see it to believe it, it may even be the highlight of the night. PBR Streetgang After a summer spent playing Glastonbury, Space Ibiza and Croatia these boys get back home turf for a warehouse party Leeds style. Negghead Dan Ward has spent the summer as resident at Ibiza's Cafe Mambo whilst getting ready for his album to drop on Nightmares on Wax's imprint Wax:on Records. Andy Whitaker As label boss at 2020 Vision Tiker spends his days at the forefront of the electronic music movement and by night crafts the finest disco, house and techno grooves. We're out of breath just thinking about the event, but if that's not enough for you we have a very special after party hosted by BELOW, Adam Shelton and Acid Mondays. Information: 07812813170
