400 PPM is a project from New York electronic music icon Shawn O’ Sullivan. Dense drones sit atop polyrhythmic passages creating an entrancing and enveloping sonic landscape in a dark, heavy registry. O’Sullivan is also a part of groups Further Reductions and Civil Duty while holding down a solo recording practice as Vapauteen and Shawn O’Sullivan
S ENGLISH [LIES Records News/Primitive Languages]
Texas based industrial maverick Shane English comprises one half of singular American group Corporate Park. Dirge like and hypnotic, S English creates music to zone in and out from. English releases music on L.I.E.S., and is a part of the CP/BW project that is a collaboration with Beau Wanzer and Corporate Park
HOGG [Scrapes/Nihilist]
HOGG is a duo from Chicago. They build songs around a spare foundation of heavy electronic pulses punctured by occasional stabs of distorted guitar, floor tom, and biological samples
CHAMPAGNE MIRRORS [Jealous God/Scrapes]
Champagne Mirrors is Alex Barnett of Barnett + Coloccia and Oakeater. The project utilizes heavily effected vocals, drum machines, tape sounds, and synthesizers to create sparse poly-rhythms amidst ominous soundscapes
ENRIQUE [Bank/Primitive Languages]
Enrique is the solo practice of producer and performer Miguel Alvariño. Methodical rhythmic constructions subvert the typical dance floor experience by tracing studies in electronic music from club ready techno to expressive improvisational noise. Alvariño is one half of the curation behind Primitive Languages, and releases music on New York City label, Bank Records
R GAMBLE [Lost Soul Enterprises]
R Gamble is a man of many hats. Between his curatorial efforts as a part of Lost Soul Enterprises, producing consistently qualitative music material, and being a diverse DJ he has cemented his presence as a force in New York City. Gamble has released on his own imprint Lost Soul Enterprises, Motor, and has a forthcoming release on Primitive Languages
