  • meandyou. and development have teamed up to showcase one of the worlds finest house and techno artists for an exclusively intimate (120 capacity) event. Purposely located in Manchesters most humble venue, the soup kitchen, we look forward to this special night with Sistrum Label owner and producer Patrice Scott. Alongside, Patrice will be Prime Numbers headman, Trus' me. Patrice Scott - If you've had your eye on the new blood coming out of the Motor City's electronic music scene over the last few years, then you'll almost certainly have heard Patrice Scott's name uttered more than a few times. But while fellow new faces such as Kyle Hall and Kris Wadsworth are still learning how to shave, Scott witnessed the first waves of Detroit house and techno, becoming known on the local DJ scene and holding down residencies in both his native city and just across the border in Toronto. It wasn't until 2006, though, that he entered the world of recorded music, releasing the melodically rich deep house of the Atmospheric Emotions EP on his own Sistrum Recordings. And it's been difficult to ignore him since. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Scott has shied away from making Sistrum Recordings a Detroit-specific imprint, picking up producers from Italy (Ksoul and Ra.H), Ireland (Leonid), Germany (XDB) and Los Angeles (Mike Edge) to further the label's vision of deep house and techno. However, it's Scott's raw and emotionally charged cuts that manage to stand out from his impeccably selected roster, with tracks like "Raw Fusion" and "Motions" already becoming modern classics for Detroit aficionados worldwide. Trus'me - The name Trus'me, as you might expect, comes from "Trust Me" and it's exactly what David Wolstencroft says to his audiences every night that he DJs. Disco, soul, funk, techno, house. It's all going to come out. "Just trust me that I'm going to make it work." That DJ credo has also spilled over into his production work, which has been celebrated far-and-wide for its "Moodymann with a smile" soul and saw his 2007 album, Working Nights, garner him DJing gigs throughout the world. And since its release, Wolstencroft has also been busy setting up his own label, Prime Numbers. In only a few releases, it's crafted an identifiable sound handed down from Detroit producers like Rick Wade, Rick Wilhite and others with production from the likes of Linkwood, Fudge Fingas, Discreet Unit and Reggie Dokes. ____________Free BBQ______________Bay Horse_____2pm - 8pm__________ As we're handing over the night mainly to Patrice and Trus' me, We will also be throwing a bbq event at the Bay Horse Pub, where residents from both meandyou. and development will be spinning from 2pm-8pm. Free entry.
