Wine Country, South of France, at the foot of the Midi-Pyrénées, among endless fields of smiling yellow sunflowers sits “the most beautiful village in France”: Camon. Crown atop this stunning fortified village sits the ancient and spectacular Chateau de Camon, graciously furled like a sleeping dragon – one thousands years of stone and memory about to be woken.
Two parts festival, one part fairytale, Machine du Vin is a boutique destination festival like no other. For three incredible days 31 Aug – 2 Sep, Camon becomes a diverse playground replete with wine swilling, French cuisine and some of the most eclectically curated and eccentrically located dance floors in Europe.
With only a few thousand lucky attendees, quality and creativity of experience is curated throughout, whether you’re lazing down the river at breakfast, disco dancing in the afternoon sun beaming onto the Chateau gardens, toasting the sunset with a main stage live act, or techno-stomping into the shadowy wee hours in the abandoned train tunnel on the outskirts of town.
