  • ReSolute shows off the more colorful side of minimal this time, especially with a set from R&S signee Afriqua.
  • RSVP for location: [email protected] Sonja Moonear started her musical venture at a very young age playing classical piano. She later got into electronic music and started experimenting with turntables and drum machines, eventually diving into the Geneva underground electronic music scene and earning a residency at the famous Weetamix club. After several successful collaborations with artists like Luciano and Zip, Sonja gained an impressive international reputation. In the last few years, she has been releasing her own tracks and remixes on renowned record labels such as Karat and Perlon. We’re happy to welcome her back to ReSolute this Sunday! Berlin-based Adam Parker aka Afriqua is the kind of artist that started playing piano at age five and was already doing DJ battles at ten. He eventually applied to study at the Royal College of Music in London, where he had the chance to listen to one of Villalobos’s Fabric sets, which undoubtedly got him hooked to the genre. Although Afriqua’s first productions in the style were mostly minimal, he has recently been delving deeper into his own sound which draws a lot from his background as an educated musician. Melodies and complex harmonies, along with a meticulous production methodology have pushed him to the front lines of electronic music producers of this time. After experiencing impeccable sets by this artist on our 10 Year Anniversary last year and our Detroit party this year, it's time for a third round in the daytime this weekend!
