フランス出身のThe HackerことMichel Amatoはテクノ界に多大な影響を与えてきた。
2011年、Gesaffelstein (Mike Levy) と共に“Zone Records”を立ち上げ、プロデューサーとしても活躍している。シンセサイザーを用いた、アヴァンギャルド、EBM、テクノ等を融合させたサウンドは独特で、才女Miss Kittinとのコラボレーションではエレクトロを重視したニューウェーブと幅広い才能を示した。
Gesaffelstein、Miss Kittin、DJ Hell、David Carretta、Neil Landstrumm、Jensen Interceptor、DeFeKT、Cardopusher、Maelstrom、Mikron、Arnaud RebotiniとDer Zyklus等が彼のレーベル“Zone Records”からリリースを果たしている。
今回、The Hackerを招いて東京で初となるZone Nightの開催が決まった。Hoshina Anniversary、Baroque、Shun、OkudaとNeosimがサポートを務め、Contactフロア、Foyerフロアもまた東京のシーンを支えるDJがフロアを熱狂させる一夜となるだろう。

The influence of Michel Amato aka The Hacker in the world of techno cannot be overstated. Both as a producer and label head of Zone Records, which he founded with Mike Levy aka Gesaffelstein in 2011, The Hacker has been one of the French electro scene’s most stylish, but also most discreet, figures. This pioneering artist, passionate about avant-garde, EBM infused techno, has weaved his influences into a unique sound that can best be described as a walking homage to the power of the synthesizer.
One minute, as a solo artist, he is the past-master of cold, calculating and relentless techno. Yet the next, when he teams up with Miss Kittin, he is leading the charge for the electroclash movement, effortlessly channelling the carefree spirit of New Wave.
His legendary label Zone Records has released breakthrough compilations from artists such as Gesaffelstein, Miss Kittin, DJ Hell, David Carretta, Neil Landstrumm, Jensen Interceptor, DeFeKT, Cardopusher, Maelstrom, Mikron, Arnaud Rebotini, and Der Zyklus.
We are proud to bring you the first Zone Night in Tokyo – a curated showcase of the label’s uncomprosmising, calculated, powerful analogue techno sound lead by The Hacker and supported by the Tokyo heavyweights Hoshina Anniversary,Baroque,Shun, Okuda and Neosim.
Both Contact and Foyer are stacked with a showcase of Tokyo-based artists that guarantee the energy levels for Tokyo’s first ever Zone Night will be running at an all-time high.
