Ballers Social are proud to present our second Birthday with a stellar line up of musical extravagance over two nights. Jamie Vex'd, Rustie, Darkstar, Fulgeance, Fox Gutt Daata, Dema and The Blessings all make an appearance over the two days.
Jamie Vex'd is one of our favourite past guests, and we are delighted to welcome him back! Having forged his reputation with critical acclaim and worldwide success with Vex'd - alongside production partner Roley - he redefined U.K rave music with their immense debut album 'Degenerate', toured the globe and set the airwaves alight via the legendary 'Dubstep Warz' show on Radio 1. His recent remixes for Scuba and Starkey are nothing short of incredible.
Jamie's music combines the jilted sci-fi of Vex'd with modern day Hip Hop. Taking a colourful, clubbed up approach, his solo ' In Systems Travel' EP sounds like Timbaland remixing the 'Blade Runner' soundtrack. This will be Jamie's third Ballers appearance and he has literally caused chaos on the dancefloor every time!
Darkstar are one of the most original acts making electronic music today, and we are ecstatic to have them back. With their debut album just about to drop on the faultless Hyperdub label, expect big things later this year!
Darkstars sound is a highly mixed composition that references Techno, R'n'B and Garage. Complex, danceable and heartfelt, they shadow tearful vocals with rippling synths, punching bass and 2 - Step percussion. Taking influences from as far a field as Roger Troutman and Quincy Jones, they are making "Pop" music like no other.
Holding down the residency is Ballers co - founder and super producer Rustie.
Expect his debut album on Warp Records this year and for him to play straight crunked out classics at this prestigious event.
This LuckyMe Electronic Music party is held in Stereo on September 11th.
