On this day every year we celebrate a moment in time when society went topsy-turvy in a magical corner of of the world-la belle Paris. As her citizens razed a prison, they promised to create a better future, while creating a reign of terror. Celebrate the dissonance of having both, not unlike our current moment in political history.
Celebrate freedom whether you are Nouveau Riche, Impoverished Aristocracy, Political Saboteurs, Bourgeoisie, Bohemian Artists, or Aspiring Royalty—flip roles and break up the social order with a little taste of danger right around the corner.
As we look to the future so too do we celebrate the past. Come as the everyday bon vivant from our future classless society where everyone has universal income, or an insurgent post-apocalyptic fighter.
We will not be eating the rich but we will have BBQ on the grill containing multitudes of treats from the vegan to the carnivorous. You can also BYOBBQ—we won’t ask who, or what it may be.
Cake will be served.
