The Pender Street Steppers have a distinct knack for playing, making and releasing some of the nicest sounding records we’ve ever heard. Jack J’s solo work travels from the new age dreamscapes of his ‘Mother Official’ cassettes to sublime ‘Looking Forward To You’ and ‘Thirstin’ on Future Time, while together, the pair have created a distinct smokey house sound across their productions for PPU, Snaker and theirs and Hashman Deejay’s Mood Hut - a label savouring quality over quantity, with works from RAMZi, Cloudface, Music People, Lnrdcroy, House Of Doors & more.
No stranger to our shores, but joining the steppers for the first time together in Australia, member of the Aquarian Foundation, Globex, Kinetic Electronix and more, Hashmann Deejay’s hypnotic and atmospheric rhythms are spread across cult labels like Acting Press, Future Times, Going Good and Total Stasis and of course, Mood Hut.
An absolute master selector, we can’t wait to finally host Hashman on the same bill as his label partners, Pender Street Steppers.
Tornado Wallace needs little introduction in this city, but we will give him one: Celebrated globally for his skill in the studio and the DJ booth, Lewie’s constant touring schedule and high quality output have seen him touching down all over the globe to share his deep melodic house and balearica, yet he still calls Australia home.
