We close the curtain on Red Bull Music Festival Montreal by teaming up with our good friends at POP Montreal to help celebrate their 17th anniversary, with a sensory-indulging showcase spotlighting forward-thinking pop, hip-hop, R&B and electronic acts. Headlining the evening is Scottish producer SOPHIE, whose futuristic pop visions have lead to her working with Grammy winners and underground artists alike. Her heavily-anticipated debut album, Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides, was released this year on her own label MSMSMSM, and her live show (which debuted at Red Bull Music Festival Los Angeles) promises to be an audiovisual spectacle. SOPHIE will be joined by rising Tennessee rapper BbyMutha, whose no-holds-barred attitude has earned her legions of fans, mysterious trance-pop producer DOSS and experimental R&B Montreal singer/rapper Littlebabyangel, who will premiere a tense backlit solo-performance balanced on the knife-edge of rock, industrial, electronic and R&B. Local N10.AS radio host and DJ Honeydrip will be warming up the evening with her energetic selections.
