All good things must come to an end. After 7 years of frivolity, good times and great memories Ffour closes its doors on October 3rd. The Ffour Family would like to invite you to join us to bid Ffour farewell. We are signing off with a huge month, culminating in The Likes Of You presenting Butch and Johnny D performing the Finale on October 3rd. Bring you mum, bring your dad and take home a memento from one of the clubs that has transformed Melbourne into the underground musical haven it is today.
JOHNNY D (Germany). Oslo / 8 Bit / Cecile
Johnny D is at the forefront of the electronic juggernaut that has evolved from this humble town near Frankfurt in Germany. Although Germany has traditionally been the home of techno and other progressive genres, more recently there has been a very clear and significant shift of sounds in Germany towards a housier sound, a housier sound driven by labels from Manheim based like Oslo and 8bit. And with this new wave of sound has seen a raft of new talents that have taken the global electronic music scene by the proverbials and given it a forceful shake; artists like Johnny D, Frederico Molinari, Ray Okpara, Nick Curly and Nekes. Johnny D is at the forefront of this movement.....after trying his hand at production a few years ago, Johnny released his first EP on Oslo Recordings with the track “Manipulation” making it in to every self respecting DJs CD wallet.
We welcome this super talent to our shores with great zeal.

BUTCH has spent the past three years presenting us with a constant amount of high quality output through internationally renowned labels such as Trapez, AFU Limited and Great Stuff.p. Butch saw this album as a possibility to present his love and rich amount of ideas for all spectra of dance music from pumping peak-time Techno via smooth Tech-House to minimalist deep sound experiments. Similar to his intuition whilst playing on the dance-floor, his releases always grab the nerv and vibe of the moment and not only capture his audiences, but many DJs worldwide just as well. Butch-releases such as “Mushroom Man“ (AFU-Limited), “Earth“ (Trapez) or “Amelie“ (Great Stuff) can be found in the playlists of prominent names such as Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Villalobos, Luciano and many others. Already his second release “On the Line“ was so successful it got him two nominations in the categories “Best Techno“ and “Best Remix Techno“ for the Beatport Music Awards 2007.
