We are back again with another dose of Fazed, this time hosting our debut night at UNDR formerly known as The Nest!
We are showcasing a night of purely drum and bass music with a huge line-up, presenting some of the best artists in the business.
Commix
Starting out as a trio, the Commix name has graced some of Drum & Bass’ leading labels since coming to prominence in the early 2000’s, and the debut album, ‘Call To Mind’, holds the honour of being the first solo artist album for historic label Metalheadz. The lead single, 'Be True', has long since cemented its place in Drum & Bass history as an anthem on the grandest scale, and the album itself was incredibly well received across the electronic music spectrum and is widely regarded as one of the best D&B LPs of all time.
After exploring House & Techno under his Endian moniker, with releases on respected labels such as NonPlus+ & Electric Minds, George returned as Commix with a new outlook regarding the way the music is made - less samples and more hardware based creation with a focus on sound design. With music scheduled for Metalheadz & Dispatch later this year, a sophomore album is also in the works.
As a DJ his focus is on the deep, the experimental and the musical. Drawing on his wealth of experience in both Drum & Bass and 4x4 based genres, he joins these styles together in a mesmerising weave, defying genre and categorisation, that cements his reputation as one of the most respected artists in the scene today.
Visionobi
Visionobi is one of the scene’s brightest talents. Since first picking up a microphone, he has hosted for the likes of Metalheadz, Hospital, Ram, Dispatch, Critical, Shogun, Spearhead, Symmetry, UKF, Drum&BassArena, Exit, Soul:ution, CIA, FabricLive, Soul:vent, as well as a plethora of festival brands and established promoters, whilst regularly hosting shows on the prestigious Rinse FM and internationally renowned D&BTV. Having released on Metalheadz, Dispatch Recordings, Soul:vent, Horizons & Siren Audio, the future looks bright with another Metalheadz release confirmed and his debut EP on Dispatch imminent.
Born in London, Visionobi has since returned to the capital, where his intelligent and spirited approach to writing shows how he is one of the most unique MC’s in Drum & Bass. Incorporating Jungle, Hip Hop and Garage influences into his sets, expect high energy and honest lyrical content.
Since hosting for Wilkinson through 2013 & 2014 and winning ‘Best Newcomer MC’ at the 2013 Drum&BassArena Awards, Visionobi has established himself as one of the respected MC’s within the deeper realms of Drum & Bass.
If the line-up isn't enough, the club has recently upgraded the MARTIN AUDIO Sound system and installed 20 new lasers!
