Neon presents Jamie Fisher

  • Sankeys night, Bitch have made an underground nest for themselves at the heart of the Manchester clubbing scene, but are now offer you something a little different: the sharpest student party in Leeds. It’s name? NEON. After years of putting on parties, wised-up clubbers of the UK and Ibiza – let alone the press - have lapped up the team behind Bitch who are once again putting their party know-how to good use in Leeds - a city full of students, begging for a credible student night. The six or so parties last year went down like a tequila slammer and left people wanting more, so here they come... Dropping by Leeds’ best club, Mint Club, playing to a fun loving crowd under the dance floor’s LED filled disco panel roof, will be a line-up of some very special guests spinning some killer beats and making best use of the club’s killer Funktion One sound system, none more so than Judge Jules who will be kicking off the year in fresher’s week on September 23rd. The Radio 1 man runs his own Judgement Sundays night in Ibiza and has set dance floors alight for years with his high energy, big-room trance and house sounds On September 30th, Filthy Funk Funk - who have been tearing it up in Ibiza and across the country, playing alongside electro big-hitters such as Steve Angello – make their NEON debut as they take the headline slot. Then it’s international DJ, producer, label owner, mix engineer and occasional radio host, Bass Kleph on October 7th who will join the dots between underground house and more commercial pop, all night long. Drew Scott stops by on 14th October and is a man heralded as one of the most talented, exciting DJ/Producers to be involved in the UK’s house scene. October 21st sees Yorkshire lad Matt Fear spin at Neon. His collection of funky uplifting anthems and supercharged, dirty, gritty, and wonky underground beats are sure to get Mint glowing, as are the dance bombs dropped by Beatport chart topper, label owner and globetrotting DJ Jamie Fisher on October 28th. As well as that residents, Dale Castell and Simon Kuznetsov will play each party and become your best friends as they drop party slammers and keep things jumping with their mash-ups of house electro and everything in between. In short, NEON is perfectly pitched to sidestep the cheesefests found elsewhere whilst not dipping too seriously into the macho world of the underground: Mid week partying just got a whole lot more decent.
