Every Saturday, we spark up the strobe lights, set the smoke machines to eleven and bang the box until the bodegas open again. Techno, electro, psycho - whatever. If you like it hard, you’ll probably love it here...
A rotating cast of resident DJs set the tone for our raves, usually in the company of a guest they've invited to share the decks with but sometimes all night, just by themselves. Some details below on how it's shaping up for tonight...

Umfang is Emma Olson, a Bronx-born, Kansas-raised, Brooklyn-based techno DJ and producer. She has releases on Technicolour and 1080p, co-founded the Discwoman collective and heads up the monthly get down Technofeminism.
Joining her for the night is Toronto's Bambii. Bambii is the founder of the Jerk party, the tour DJ for Mykki Blanco and an inspired selector whose sets weave together house, dancehall, Jersey club, rap, reggaeton and R&B. Expect a wide variety of tempos and textures from these two.

Nowadays is an indoor and outdoor gathering place on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood. We've got a full bar, a kitchen, a nice sound system, a wood dance floor and lots of trees and house plants.
Most of the time, it's free to come to Nowadays, but we do have a cover for some of our nighttime events. If there's a cover but you're a little tight on dough, you can buy early bird tickets on RA, or RSVP for reduced entry on Fridays and Saturdays at http://nowadays.nyc/rsvp
