Hawks https://soundcloud.com/t-hawks The Creative Footprint will be Co-hosting this event! The Creative Footprint is a non-profit initiative that measures and indexes live music space. Working alongside local experts and teams of researchers, we gather data about every venue in the city and develop a rich cultural impact study of the music scene. Berlin Clubcommission spokesperson Lutz Leichsenring initiated the Creative Footprint in 2017 and teamed up with Amsterdam Night Mayor Mirik Milan to arm music scene stakeholders, nightlife activists and governing bodies with the relevant data to support their scenes in the ongoing battle against gentrification. Our innovative methodology was developed by professors from Harvard University and leading minds in creative civic planning, and places emphasis on original programming and cultural impact as opposed to strictly economic impact. 15 key data points in three distinct categories (Space, Content and Framework Conditions) are gathered about each venue, and our final report will see our data plotted against other existing data sets to determine the true local impact of vibrant live music scenes. Our team will be presenting our findings on Friday September 28th 2018 at NightCamp, our hands-on workshop series which works with local stakeholders to develop solutions to problems in nightlife scenes.
