- rEJEKT was started at Sankeys Soap in 2007 by long time Tribal Sessions resident Iain Taylor as an outlet for his rEJEKTS production moniker and the associated rEJEKT mUSIC record label. Since then rEJEKT has held residencies with some of Europes leading late night establishments including Back To Basic in Leeds and The Zoo Project, Space and Pacha in Ibiza. As a producer Iain Taylor's rEJEKT tracks have been favoured by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex, Sven Vath, Jamie Jones, DJ Hell, Marcell Dettman, Danny Tenaglia, Locodice, Tobi Neumann, Tania Vulcano, Teifshwarz, Stacey Pullen, Marco Carola, Steve Lawler, Sasha, Digweed, Dubfire, DJ T, Mr C, Bushwacka, Groove Armada, Ray Okpara, Tensnake, Crazy P and even one Neil Diabo... Well you get the idea, it's a collection of deep hypnotic grooves, throbbing basslines and tripped out melodies skirting the sounds of Deep House, Techno and Nu Disco. This will be our first event in Manchester for almost exactly 2 years and so we've put something particularly special together for the rEJEKT faithful! RICH NxT (Fuse London / Nxt Records) Is without doubt one of the hottest producers to come out of the UK in the last few years, originally rising to prominence with a string of well crafted releases on Fuse London throughout 2011. Since then he has since gone on to release on Save You, Hund, Lowwaxx, HedZup and in 2016 he set up his vinyl only imprints NxT Records & What NxT. His tracks have been supported by The Martinez Brothers, Jamie Jones, Yaya, System Of Survival, Subb-An, Ryan Crossan, Josh Baker, Sante, Alex Moya, Ninetoes, Chris Wood, Meat, Wade, Huxley, and of course his fellow Fuse cohorts Enzo Siragusa, Seb Zito and Rossko. He played to a sell out crowd for our event at B12 in Ibiza this April alongside East End Dubs and absolutely tore the house down and so we literally couldn't be more exited to welcome him back to Manchester. https://soundcloud.com/richnxt DRAGOSH (Desolat / Brouqade / Moon Harbour / Viva Music / Rejekt Music) Romania has long been responsible for some of electronic music’s most exciting talents but even so, Dragosh quickly made a name for himself as a diverse producer who’s just as comfortable making Minimal Techno as he is intricate Deep House with a sound that continues to evolve with each release. Now residing in Milan, he is a regular at Berlin clubs Club Der Visionaire and Chalet, while closer to home he’s also played at Romania’s much renowned Sunwaves Festival. His releases are favoured by The Martinez Brothers, Locodice, Anthea, Marco Carola, Laura Jones, Darius Syrossian, Yaya, Gel Abril, Robert Dietz, Gary Beck, Ray Okpara, Lauhaus, Tim Green, Layo & Bushwacka and of course fellow countrymen Raresh & Rhadoo. We recently had the pleasure of catching Dragosh play in Ibiza and he nailed it with an integral mix of stripped back House & Techno interspersing the odd choice classic House cut. You are in for a right treat with this one people ;) https://soundcloud.com/dragosh MYKEL HAZE (Hot Waves / Nite Grooves / Kaluki Music / King Street / Rejekt Music) Mykel has been doing his thing on the Manchester music scene under various alias since the mid 90s but it was his Disco Electronica events at Sankeys that really brought him to prominence attracting guests like Ben Klock, Radio Slave, DJ Sneak, Guti, Jamie Jones and Clive Henry with House legends Steve Lawler and Nic Fanciulli commenting “It’s our favourite party in the UK – hands down!” and for Mykel to be invited to lay down a 1hr guestmix for Marc Romboy's Sytematic podcast. His tracks have garnered favour with Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Russ Yallop, DJ-T, Richie Ahmed, Danny Daze, Jon Digweed, David K, Chaim, James Teej, Walker and Royce, Darren Emerson and many more. As you would expect, Mykel has a solid Mancunion following and so he's an ideal addition to the line up. https://soundcloud.com/mykel-haze-musik IAIN TAYLOR (Tribal Sessions / Zoo Project / Space Ibiza / Rejekt Music Label Boss) Another stalwart of the Manchester scene, he started his career with sets at the legendary Hacienda in 1995 before moving onto Sankeys Soap The Music Box, Generation X, and The Pheonix. It wasn't long until he migrated further afield to clubs like Fabric London, The Big Beat Boutique in Brighton, The Bomb in Nottingham, Liverpool's Chibuku Shake Shake, The Sub Club in Glasgow amongst others and even onto the dance stages at Glastonbury Festival before taking his sound across Europe, Asia, Australia, America and South America. In 2001 his popularity was such that he was installed as weekly resident for Tribal Sessions playing alongside the creme de la creme of the globes underground artists. In 2006 he launched his rEJEKTS production moniker releasing on Claude Von Stroke's Dirtybird Recordings and then after almost signing to Steve Lawler's fledgling Viva Music, decided to launch his own rEJEKT mUSIC label with the output on vinyl and digital drawing widespread critical acclaim from his peers and the press alike and leading to residencies with Back To Basics, The Zoo Project, Space and Pacha Ibiza. rEJEKTS & rEJEKT mUSIC are still going strong today with recent label parties in Ibiza, Switzerland, Liverpool and the House Music mecca that is Leeds alongside this our return to our hometown. rEJEKT parties are famed for their uncompromising underground music policy and infectious friendly atmosphere. They recently signed an EP to rEJEKT mUSIC and have supplied a remix for our upcoming next release. Their sound is deep and dusty, grooved based house so perfect for the early set: ROOM 2 HOSTED BY UTOPIA MUSIC Samuel Hall brings his every popular Utopia Music soundtrack to the Joshua Brooks Public Bar from 8pm (free entry all night), proof of said popularity is confirmed in the fact he has brought another 3 of Manchester's most respected homegrown DJs to the bill with Blair & Reme (Mvson) & Pyralis (Versus). We've bookended their stellar line up with our good friends Soul Revolver on Warm Up duties and the international bad boy that is Bassy (Focus / Continuous Groove) closing the proceedings.
