继成功举办DJ Rolando巡演后, Ghost in the Machine x Say Yes再度联手, 呈现年末重磅: 11月的第一个周末, 非常荣幸邀请到当代工业Techno复兴的标杆人物—— BLAWAN。近几年, 这个名字几乎占据了所有权威音乐节的头牌阵容, 更是Berghain和Boiler Room高频反复邀请的座上客。
融合Post-dubstep与狠辣硬朗的Techno的独特风格, 大热舞曲《Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage》, 为知名乐队Radiohead(电台司令) 名曲《Bloom》制作的remix早已令他声名大噪。2018年6月, BLAWAN重装上阵, 强势回归, 随着万众瞩目的个人专辑 《Wet Will Always Dry》的问世, 终有机会实现本次令人期待已久的上海首演。
过去几年里，鲜有制作人能像BLAWAN一样在业界掀起翻天覆地的震动。年仅31岁的他, 顶着鲜嫩的外表, 实则是一位身经百战, 经验丰富的资深音乐人。8年前他就在Ben UFO三人组的Hessle Audio厂牌发表了首部作品《Fram》, 赢得Bass界一致好评。
在Post-dubstep圈声名鹊的同时, 也在久负盛名的Techno厂牌R&S发行作品, 尝试不同音乐类型。他具有代表性的Post-dubstep之音, 配以粗粝的techno节拍, 赢得了Surgeon及The Black Dog等著名制作人的赞赏和支持, 之后的作品也越来越趋向Techno。
2012年后, BLAWAN的音乐风格基本固定于Techno，但他仍持续坚持在实验音乐和标准舞曲之间来穿梭, 探索更多可能性。正是在这段时期，他开始频繁与Surgeon、Pariah等人合作，并与后者以Karenn双人组的名义进行即兴演出。特别是转向硬件制作后，他更加频繁与The Analogue Cops及Pariah一同演出。
他的成功从来就不是一蹴而就, 而是多年来的积累和打磨: 合作的厂牌无论是Hessle Audio还是R&S, Clone Basement Series, Hinge Finger等，无不都是名声显赫的行业领跑者。而最令他声名大噪的是其精妙复杂的鼓点编排，曾经作为鼓手的背景也证明了他具有非同常人的韵律感。
越来越多的粉丝通过他所呈现的一首首金曲路转粉: 采样自R&B名曲《I Wanna Be Down》的《Getting Me Down》( 被权威媒体RA评选为2011最佳歌曲第一名）， 还有采样了Moodymann原声的《What You Do with What You Have》及《Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage》传唱度都极高。
才华满腹，锋芒毕露， 自然成功吸引到顶级音乐人的合作邀约: 为Radiohead《Bloom》所制作的混音甚至比原曲更广受欢迎， 为殿堂级乐队Depeche Mode 《Heaven》的混音版, 在Erol Alkan, Simian Mobile Disco及Tiga等音乐人的mix 中，你也都能听到BLAWAN的作品。
权威媒体Pitchfork的Philip Sherburne曾这样评价BLAWAN的音乐，“充满着如电钻般的底鼓，细碎的木制打击乐器声，及急促的breakdown。” 2018年6月, BLAWAN在接受以The Quietus和Electronic Beats等权威媒体为首的一系列采访时, 均被问及入院手术和健康方面的问题。令人欣慰的是, 他已康复, 重振旗鼓, 投身前线, 带来千呼万唤使出来的个人专辑《Wet Will Always Dry》。
该专辑荣登权威音乐媒体The Quietus所评选的2018年度最佳专辑榜单, 位列第三， 更被广大乐迷奉为2018年上半年最佳电子专辑之一。随着这张制作精良的专辑收到越来越多的好评, 他的到来也更加恰逢其时。11月3日, 上海, 来之不易的现场！

老虎出更，DJ/制作人/唱片挖掘者Jackie以新的面貌出现在大家面前，继续带给大家不按常理出牌，富有冒险精神的音乐现场。Ghost In The Machine 是由Jackie于2011年开始制作的系列电台节目, 专注于介绍经典House/Techno。2017年，节目的音乐风格趋于多样化，并开始致力于线下活动以及跨界合作。
Say Yes and Ghost in the Machine are teamning up once again after collaboration for DJ Rolando China tour last year, this time bringing you a big surprise: BLAWAN, one of the leading lights of the current industrial techno revival, well known for splicing post-dubstep with raw and uncompromising techno, also for his track "Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage"and his remix of the Radiohead track "Bloom". He broke into the Post-dubstep scene back in 2010, dropping numerous hits that would go on to exemplify an era, and earlier this year Blawan finally brought us his much-anticipated new album "Wet Will Always Dry".
BLAWAN has come a long way. He cut his teeth back around 2009 with some releases on on Ben UFO and Peason Sound's Hessle Audio caused a major commotion on bass music dance floors. As well as on prestigious Techno label R&S, making his name known within the Post-dubstep scene, and then went on to surpass the genre and gain the love and support from big time Techno artists like Surgeon and The Black Dog.
His output has become more techno-infused with each new release. And even though he had already locked into a techno groove by 2012, his music kept shape-shifting, exploring both experimental and straight-up pummeling tropes. It was at this time that he increasingly began to collaborate with Surgeon, and separately, with Pariah—with whom he performs under the live improv moniker Karenn. A move to hardware in the studio has led to frequent collaborations with The Analogue Cops and Pariah.
Over the past few years few producers have caused as much commotion as Blawan. His label associations—Hessle Audio, R&S, Clone Basement Series, Hinge Finger—speaks volumes. But it's his percussion that speaks loudest. He's a former drummer, and his intricately programmed tunes seem to bear out this history. Quite simply, he hears things a tad differently than the rest of us.
A world where he's had perhaps his three biggest underground club hits by sampling R&B star Brandy on one cut, "Getting Me Down", also sampling the voice of Moodymann on "What You Do with What You Have", and the unlikely sing-along "Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage." However, his major worldwide breakthrough came when he was the main remixer for Radiohead's remix album! Depeche Mode, Erol Alkan, Simian Mobile Disco and Tiga have also recently fit tunes of his on mix.
According to Philip Sherburne of Pitchfork, his music is "full of jackhammering kicks, splintered wooden percussion, and short-fuse breakdowns." Now he's making his first visit fresh from the release of his first album, Wet Will Always Dry, on his own Ternesc label. See you on November 3rd!
