The love affair between Discojuice and Between the Tropics continues with a coming together at the wonderful Patterns. For this one we have invited two of the very best for their Brighton debuts: Tornado Wallace and Jamie Tiller!
Like the last Discojuice booking, Francis Inferno Orchestra, Tornado Wallace is one of Melbourne's finest house music exports. He has a really impressive discography, with notable releases on labels ESP Institute, Beats in Space and Music from Memory's sister label Second Cicle. His releases are also super varied; ranging from disco tinged house, and moving dreamingly into more belearic, ambient waters in the form of his brilliant 'Lonely Planet' album on Gerd Janson's Running Back imprint.
On top of that! Our second headliner, Jamie Tiller, is a co-founder of one of the most exciting labels going at the moment: Music from Memory. The label has an endless catalogue of stunning releases from both past and present. One of our favourites is the recent compilation, 'Uneven Paths: Deviant Pop From Europe 1980-1991', an album put together by both Jamie himself and Raphael Top-Secret - If you haven't heard it then get a move on! He is a unique and keen digger as well, consistently travelling and searching for dance floor rarities across Europe and, lucky for us, bringing these records to his dj sets.
