- Marco Bailey is somewhat considered an icon when it comes to techno and the dance music industry as a whole. It starts with a beat, and for Marco that was in the late 80’s. This year he's been in the industry for 29 years, a true achievement for someone who is an ambassador for the scene as well as an amazing DJ and producer. His break came in 2000 with his first EP on Carl Cox's Intec imprint. Over the next couple of years he worked on his own imprint, launching MB Elektronics, with the first release in 2002. The following years he did an endless list of releases including “Dragon Man” LP on John Digweed's Bedrock in 2011. Not forgetting his releases on labels such as Sleaze and Drumcode. His most recent album was the 12 track “High Volume” released back in 2013. Marco has been touring relentlessly throughout his career and is now promoting his own brand, high-profile label and radio show called MATERIA. We're excited to have him at Culture Box for the very first time. The opening set is played by Joel Alter aka Jor-El who is known for solo work on Bass Culture and Sweatshop and two albums with Jonsson & Alter on Swedish Kontra-Musik. He is now one of our much-loved resident DJs here at Culture Box and co-runs True Rotary Recordings. The closing set is by Christian Rütz. An artist who has released music in a variety of different genres, both independently and in collaboration with other artists. His own label is called Remote Enclosure Audio. Martinez from Concealed Sounds spin the vinyls in Red Box and is joined by Carsten Jensen from Every Day I Am Different.
