  • SEQUENCE - Friday, 14 December 2018 / 11:00PM - 8:00AM Baltimore, Location TBA. Location address will be sent on the day of the event with ticket purchase and/or RSVP: http://bit.ly/SQ223RSVP PROGRAM: Takaaki Itoh (WOLS, Mord / Japan) Tsurugi (DC) Steve Kirn (Blueprint, Transplants / DC) Ron Jackson (SEQUENCE, Void Archive / DC) ______________________________ ** Event has been moved to Baltimore, MD. We realize that moving our party to a different city will likely make it difficult for many of you to attend, and we sincerely regret that. We acknowledge that this is not the ideal solution. Because of the dramatic changes in location, refunds will be available by request through RA. “Hypnotic and Flowing” are terms veteran DJ and producer Takaaki Itoh often uses to describe his style. Takaaki was one of Japan’s first techno acolytes in the ‘90s, and has since remained an indispensable staple --in Japan and abroad-- through steadfast promotion, production, and celebration of the scene. A master of atmospheric techno and a curator of seamless soundscapes, his DJ sets are at once engrossing and want your involvement, while providing ample space for you --body and soul-- to venture in and out of. His lore also stems from his productions that carry that very same obsessive level of attention to detail, released on his own WOLS imprint or on one of a dozen en vogue underground techno stables including MORD, Modularz, and Planet Rhythm. After all, it was with this unique production talent that he first made inroads to the global techno community and became the toast of Europe’s underground, playing renowned clubs like Berghain and Tresor. In short, it is a huge honor for us to host Takaaki, in what we expect to feel like one lucid dream. There is one trick: you must surrender to the hypnosis and allow yourself to ride the ebbs and flows of the incoming sonar tidal waves emitting from the monstrous speakers. In other words, you must trust the journey. And please, proceed incautiously. Accompanying Takaaki Itoh, we’re tickled for the return of some of DC’s finest techno comrades to the SEQUENCE playing field. First, we welcome back strong supporter and brass knuckle hand model Tsurugi, whose previous heavy, mesmerizing closing set sent those present in our old basement dungeon into another dimension. Next up is local favorite and Chris Liebing sex scene stunt double Steve Kirn. Steve opened for Perc at one of our functions last year and we’re looking forward to what he’s bringing us this time around. We feel the night’s lineup will craft a fitting end to the calendar year, and for SEQUENCE’s ventures in 2018. ______________________________ Absolutely zero tolerance for sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, unsolicited touching, or any other oppressive behavior.
