We close out our Do Not Sit On Art Basel week at Do Not Sit On The Furniture with our good friends Hernán Cattáneo & Nick Warren.. If ever there was an artist who doesn’t need an introduction, it has to be the man known to music lovers the world over simply as El Maestro. Throughout his rise to become both a foundation and a founding father of the underground house scene, the name Hernán Cattáneo has become synonymous with dedication, passion and an unwavering commitment to championing a unique quality of music that is hard to define, but instantly recognizable as his signature sound.
The term “internationally known” or “world renown” is a loosely used term these days. Not too many artists actually can say they are respected all over the world or known across every continent or country on the planet. Nick Warren is one of the few who has managed to make himself known across the globe. He has been showcased in nearly 50 countries and even in obscure countries such as Jordan and Lithuania. He’s always able to put together top-notch mixes infused with atmospheric mastery, breakbeat magnificence, and experimental brilliance.
