While we are still walking around with a smile from ear to ear, following the amazing reception our kickoff received, we are not ones to dwell on the past for too long. We rather focus on what is yet to come. With great pleasure and excitement, we proudly present our line up for the next edition of Savage at Shelter Amsterdam!
Starting off with home grown hero Boris Werner.
Imagining Amsterdam nightlife without Boris ‘WipWap’ Werner is next to impossible. Boris has been around from the very beginning, witnessing the ebb and flow of popularity our scene has endured and received. Where others might have given up to walk the easy route, Boris never faltered and stayed true to his sound pallet. All the while honing his impressive skill set behind the decks as well as in the studio. We can’t wait to welcome his venue-filling personality in the booth of Shelter!
Our next guest is none other then One Records co-founder Subb-an. The charismatic Englishman, who recently returned to his mother land after a long and fruitful love affair with Berlin, is no stranger to tearing down clubs all over Europe and farther afield. His sound, strongly influenced by the likes of Craig Richards and Ricardo Villalobos, can best be described as a free flowing myriad of rhythms. Bass heavy and in your face, while always keeping an elegant and refined touch. We are looking forward to hearing him shake up the bass bins of our favourite basement!
Rounding out the line up is the occasional and highly explosive pairing of British born wAFF with our very own Joey Daniel. The two have been friends for quite some time now, but it wasn’t before last years Sonar that they got behind the decks together. The result was musical firework! Since then, the two have teamed up on a handful of special occasions in Bucharest, London and now Amsterdam .
waFF’s ascend to notoriety over the course of the past few years has been nothing short of stellar. After landing a much coveted Paradise/Hot Creations residency at DC-10 back in 2015, this cheerful gentleman has proven time and time again that he has what it takes to captivate and transfix an audience. Whenever and wherever his musical journey takes him, waFF makes a profound impact on soul and body alike.
The combination behind the controls with Joey Daniel is a best of both worlds kind of thing; around the same time that waFF became a resident at Paradise DC-10, Daniel landed Music On at Amnesia Ibiza! The Dutch native has been tearing up clubs and festivals worldwide under the revered Italian banner ever since and has been showing no signs of slowing down.
