Hooga welcomes back Portishead’s crate digger Andy Smith to the main stage for another of his northern soul, funk and party classics sets.
The trade-mark nostalgia trip of Hooga is this month represented by the legend that is Chaz Jankel (Ian Dury & The Blockheads). Chaz takes to the 1’s & 2’s to provide a retrospective journey of tracks that have both influenced and inspired our great music history. Joining Chaz will be Uptown Safari’s ‘Blackbeard’, who is no stranger to the smoother sounds of house and soul.
Over in the 3rd room Hooga DJs, Marc Miller & Breakdance Matt, serve up their usual boundary-less mix of spaced out disco to electro, bootlegs to breaks, and guitar driven house to indie classics.
As always there is a Japanese animation showcase, and this month we feature ‘Cromartie High School’ – due for release later in the month
