MUTEK Weekend passes give you access to events from the evening of June 4th to June 6th only.</b>
Kicking off its second decade as one of the globe's premier showcases for cutting-edge electronic music and digital creativity, MUTEK is proud to announce its first confirmed performers for its highly anticipated 11th edition. This year, the influential Montreal institution runs from June 2nd to June 6th, kickstarting Montreal's summer festival season with a program featuring over 100 Canadian and international artists.
2009 was a monumental year for MUTEK, delivering its most ambitious agenda to date for the seminal 10th anniversary edition, and managing to increase the festival's overall attendance by 70% in the process.
MUTEK 2010 seizes upon this eleventh year to capitalize on those gains and evolve even further.
This year, the craftsmanship, the experience, and the organic vitality of the electronic arts serve as the foundation for the festival's guiding principles. These first names for the 2010 edition have in common strong reputations for sidestepping trends and enthralling
audiences with exceptional and engaging live performances. This initial list will only grow richer and more diverse in the coming weeks. For now, we are eager to share the broad contours of what will
be a bold and multi-textured leap forward.
From the anticipated return of MATMOS and MATIAS AGUAYO for this edition's opening night, to the Canadian premieres of MORITZ VON OSWALD TRIO, PÉPÉ BRADOCK and THEO PARRISH on our closing day, MUTEK 2010 promises five non-stop days of international-grade showcases for our increasingly diverse audiences.
