Auch im neuen Jahr kredenzt das Team der Pretty/Ugly am Konsens vorbei und dafür mit der gewohnten Extraportion Stupidness ein in dieser Nacht besonders bärtiges Line-up, das mit Borrowed Identity und Route 8 gleich zwei mühelos durch die Genres switchende und dabei musikalisch auch gern leicht aus dem Rahmen fallende Künstler in den Grünen Raum stellt. Letzterer ließ kürzlich erst mit seiner EP „303 Exercise“ auf dem eigenen Budapester Label This is our Time und speziell dem darauf enthaltenen Acid-Monster „Slowly“ von sich hören. Lediglich zwei Monate zuvor legte das Multitalent dort die liebevoll zusammengesamplete Disco House-Scheibe „Disco for Lonely Heart“ als DJ Ciderman vor. Die beiden anderen Räume gehören zudem zwei alten Bekannten: Berliner Techno-Original Oliver Deutschmann, letztes Jahr erst wieder auf Luke Slaters Mote Evolver gelandet, übernimmt unten den Schwarzen Raum, während Francis Inferno Orchestra mit seinen trippigen Grooves natürlich den Roten Raum beschallt. Das Closing-Set hiernach gehört Budino, die in bewährter Weise aus dem angebrochenen Morgen alles herausholt. So let’s stay stupid forever, again!
Also in the New Year, the Pretty/Ugly team continues to ignore the consensus, and with the usual extra portion of stupidness presents an especially muscular line-up, which with Borrowed Identity and Route 8, promises a night of off-the-grid music and effortless switching through the genres in the Green Room. The multitalented Route 8 recently made noise with his EP ‘303 Exercise’, which included the standout acid monster ‘Slowly’, while only two months before, under his DJ Ciderman moniker, put out the lovingly-sampled disco house cut ‘Disco For Lonely Heart’, all on his own Budapest-based label This is our Time. Flex. The other two rooms see the return of a couple of old acquaintances: Berlin techno-original Oliver Deutschmann — who landed once again last year on Luke Slater's Mote Evolver label — takes over the Black Room, while Superconscious Records boss Francis Inferno Orchestraheadlines the Red Room with his trippy grooves. The closing belongs to Budino, bringing the best out of the morning like only she knows how, all the way til the late noon. So let's stay stupid forever, again!
