Jeff Mills is an artist who needs no introduction. From pioneering the style of music now unanimously known as techno to founding the revered and respected Axis Records in the early nineties, there are few feats that the Detroit native hasn’t accomplished in a career that spans multiple decades.
This career continues to thrive, as demand for such a talented artist reaches ever-more extraordinary heights. With extended performances rare, and London plays even more seldom, the 5th of April will see The Wizard grace one of London’s newest and most talked about warehouse venues: E1, for a three-hour masterclass in raw, unadulterated techno.
The club, which recently underwent a complete renovation, features a custom-built Funktion-One ‘Wall of Sound’ Soundsystem, acoustically treated to provide unparalleled levels of clarity.
Such a special performance, provided by one of the most talented and respected DJs the world has seen, deserves a suitably exceptional sound system. It is without doubt; therefore, that E1 is the perfect conduit for Jeff Mills to orchestrate a unique and exceptional performance.
Support comes from Lucy, Italian-born and Berlin-based techno maestro who made his debut with us at the end of December. No stranger to London, the Stroboscopic Artefacts boss will be making his eagerly anticipated return to our warehouse.
Cristian Valera, whose Black Codes label is an output for quality, no-holds-barred techno, plays in our Black Studio.
