International Black: Rhythm Section’s sister label has been turning heads and igniting dance-floors with a dogmatic club focus. The latest release came from the electro duo London Modular Alliance, whose signature modular synthesis and alien sound design explode with extraterrestrial force. We’re kicking off 2019 in Rye Wax’s basement with a techno, electro and breaks extravaganza with some of youngest musical forces to be reckoned with at the moment.
Happa
Happa has been kicking about in the scene since he was 16, now in his early 20s he has gone on to release tracks and remixes through an impressive list of labels—Church, Bleep, Domino, R&S, Boomkat Editions, PT/5 records and most recently Fnord Communications with his dance floor filler ‘Argot’. Happa most recently played at the iconic Printworks venue in London, alongside the infamous Jeff Mills, Blawan, Marcel Dettmann and Karen Gwyer - So get excited for some wicked weighty selections.
96 Back
96 Back is an affiliate of Sheffields iconic electro label, Central Processing Unit, with his debut release on the label in 2018 garnering support from the likes of Dave Clarke and Mike Servito. Having most recently moved to Bristol he has already quickly established himself as a Noods Radio regular and PPG resident, he has donned line ups with Randomer, Objekt, Vladimir Ivokvic and Mor Elian. And in 2019 he doesn’t seem to be slowing down, steadily racking up a notable list of releases on the horizon as well as playing sell out shows across the UK this is definitely going to be his year.
