- Bradley Zero's residency begins. His Rhythm Section parties are special because they consistently mix eclecticism, humour and warmth, even with wide-ranging guests. Few are as well-suited to curate 12 weeks of Globetrotting live concerts and club nights in East London.
- The Jazz Cafe brings the young London-based jazz quartet join us at XOYO. The genre-surfing band is led by Ed ‘Tenderlonious’ Cawthorne, the rising star who runs the 22a Music label, which is home to some of the best young musicians in London. Ruby Rushton’s uniqueness stems from the drawn-out compositions, akin to a Herbie Hancock score, juxtaposed with exciting drum fills and percussive flair, adding in a precious modern and local feel. The band’s debut release, ‘Two For Joy’, in 2015, was soon followed by two part-albums, ‘Trudi’s Songbook: Volume One’ and ‘Trudi’s Songbook: Volume Two’, which received critical acclaim, earning them air time from the likes of Gilles Peterson, BBC 6 Music, Jazz FM and Benji B. -- Admission to XOYO is at management's discretion, advance tickets do not guarantee entry.
