A national and international benchmark, for the past 14 years thousands of people have gathered in Kobetamendi to enjoy live music in a natural and unique mountain setting, close to the centre of Bilbao city.
Bilbao BBK Live expands on its lineup for 2019, with an array of new acts confirmed for Basoa, the festival’s carefully curated electronic music space. From world renowned artists to emerging young talents, ‘Basoa’ will play host to uninterrupted party sessions from Laurent Garnier, Honey Dijon, John Talabot, Octo Octa, Todd Terje, Tama Sumo, Midland, Bicep and more.
Located in a clearing in the beautiful Basque woodland, Basoa invites discerning revellers to get lost to the finest in electronic and experimental sounds amidst the idyllic woodland surroundings of the beautiful Basque Country. With its unique setting, well selected lineup and precisely configured sound system, the forest is a temple of escapism, where you can forget about your mobile phone and immerse yourself in the moment.
In this edition, Basoa has partnered with Red Bull and Absolut. The selection of artists and the surround sound provided by the space are combined with the careful attention to detail to set the stage in Basoa, which has been internationally recognised with the ‘Innovation in Staging’ prize at the ‘Festival of the Future’ awards. And that’s because Basoa seeks to escape the mundane and pursue the exceptional.
