We are back in our favourite Salford dancing spot for an extra extra special party. This time we are teaming up with Dance for Refuge, a charity party that continue to support the ongoing refugee crisis worldwide. They have raised over £25,000 since they first started in 2015 and we are so excited to be partnering with them for their first outing in Manchester.
Joining together for an International Women's Day Special we are bringing Kiara Scuro to the rainy city with the formidable Solid Blake. We will be supporting Women for Refugee Women with all profits raised being donated to the amazing work that they do.
Kiara Scuro are one of the most exciting up and coming DJ duo's on the circuit at the moment. Residents on Balamii Radio and securing themselves a well-deserved spot on the Dimensions Festival DJ Directory, they can effortlessly blend between chuggy groovers and dark hypnotic beats. We've been trying to get these gals down to play for almost a year now and we are so happy that they are finally coming to play in Manchester.
Solid Blake has cut her teeth out in Copenhagen, regularly playing out in some of the cities best venues. Putting her debut Mario EP out in 2017 on Outer Zone Imprint, she has gone on to play at some of the best clubs and festivals across Europe including De school, Dekmantel and Berghain. Getting her to the White Hotel has been a long dream and it's finally happening and for such a good cause!
IMOGEN moved to London at the age of 16 to learn music production and wow does this early start show in her sets. Bouncing effortlessly from quirky electro through to deep dark techno, she captivates her audiences taking them on a true musical journey. We are very excited to invite this rising star back to Manchester.
Women for Refugee Women work to support and empower women who are seeking asylum in the UK by helping them with grass root issues including advice sessions and English lessons, enabling women to rebuild their lives in safety and encouraging women to speak up.
The charity is campaigning to create a fairer asylum process in the UK by publishing research and informing politicians with women’s stories. They work to campaign for more support for refugee women left destitute in the UK, many women they work with are left vulnerable to exploitation and violence due to being homeless.
