For the first time in Sweden: ONUKA, a Ukrainian electro-folk group. Their style is an interesting mix of folk music and modern electronica with English and Ukrainian lyrics. The minimalistic synth-pop perfectly matches the sounds of the Ukrainian instruments bandura, sopilka and trembita. It sounds magical and the performance is something special.
ONUKA’s sound is an organic mix of electronic, contemporary pop music and Ukrainian folk heritage. In May 2017, ONUKA appeared as a Special Guest at EUROVISION Song Contest. Within a few days her song Vidlik entered the top of European iTunes electronic charts (UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark etc). She successfully performed at various European music festivals, such as SZIGET (HU) and POHODA (SK).
