TRÏBE’s 1st Birthday w/ Jody Barr & Residents
What a year it has been for us throwing party’s so we decided to bring in London based Jody Barr to celebrate our first birthday in style, Jody is an auspicious producer, label owner and DJ who since enjoying a breakout year in 2015 has continued firmly on his ascent. Drawing influence from the likes of Boddika, Danny Daze and Scuba - he has swiftly garnered widespread support through his standout releases on Krankbrother and a series of shows including Fabric’s infamous room 1, Space Ibiza, Studio 338, Ministry of Sound.
Demonstrating astute studio skills beyond his years and sporting a serious arsenal of hardware, Barr specialises in his own strain of ‘Technofied House Music’ - burly, rattling dance floor tracks that have seen airplay across a multitude of Radio 1 shows via George Fitzgerald and B.Traits. With a blooming catalogue under his belt, attention has most recently turned to the inauguration of his own imprint ‘Portable Minds’ - a trend-dodging project which he intends to use both for his own productions and as a platform for fellow creative producers who share his artistic outlook.
