Future Awkward - an electronic dance music event curated by Ctrls.
The Purpose:
To expose you to dedicated performers that offer a special, strange or unique take on techno and electro.

Sunil Sharpe (Earwiggle, Mord Records, Rave Or Die, Bastardo Electrico)
Sunil communicates special energy through his sets. It’s an energy that’s been developed through messing with every aspect of dance music: DJ, radio show host, working record stores, promoting events and as of late nightlife activist helping to preserve Dublin’s club scene. All this in addition to his solo productions and Tinfoil collaboration with Defekt and he also runs Earwiggle records, with a back catalog that embraces the raw and unfiltered. His wide range of selections, huge experience set and aggressive blending of styles most DJs wouldn’t, has placed him in a space entirely of his own.
Banke LIVE (Token Records)
Banke’s sound is powerful and nervous. His debut release, the Totem EP on Token Records, presented an intense level of attention to detail and a unique perspective to the modern techno world. Armed with new dizzying material Banke takes steps to cement his presence on the scene and so we’re anxious to present the project’s first public and live performance, on any stage.

Historical Repeater (Earwiggle, Herrensauna)
This duo produces techno and electro often described as a strange mix of high- and lowbrow. Made up of Solid Blake and Ctrls they’ll put their combined “experience” to keeping you stimulated for the opening and closing of the night.
