Having hosted an esteemed collection of respected techno DJs since it’s opening, the 31st of May will see E1 continue in such a vein. Where the likes of Ben Klock, Maceo Plex and Blawan have graced the venue in the past, the 31st of May will see Rødhåd and Ø [Phase] make their debut in the venue, whilst Luke Slater will make an eagerly anticipated return.
Head of the respected Dystopian imprint, Rødhåd is a DJ and producer whose presence in the scene has been felt for decades now. Having cut his teeth in Berlin’s party scene in the late 90s, it was not long until the German capital’s clubbing institution, Berghain, recognised his craft. Such recognition does not appear lightly, a testament to the skill and diligence of his ability.
Second on the bill is certified legend of the electronic music scene, one-third of the techno triplet LSD, Luke Slater’s presence warrants no introduction. The accolades and achievements are endless, whilst his unrelenting releases have continued to push his sound to ever-more impressive heights.
Third up comes Ø [Phase] an outright talent, the British artist’s productions are as complex as they are penetrating. Having produced countless releases for Kr!z’s Token Records, it seemed only fitting to invite him down for a showcase in fine-tuned, unadulterated techno.
Rounding off the lineup comes Rachel Lyn and Adiel. Founder of Modular Gang, Rachel Lyn is an artist with multiple strings to her bow. A previous resident of Superstition, her DJ sets are charged with ambient, gritty and warm melodies. Alongside Rachel is Adiel, an Italian native whose presence in the scene is going from strength to strength.
