For this edition, The Perfect Organism invites Joton and Røtter. Joton is the founder and boss of the Spanish Newrhythmic Records. This will be his Toronto debut and Joton will be bringing one of the labels most promising talents to join him. Newrhythmic Records has established itself as a forward thinking label within the techno community. With a roster of international artists, the influence of Newrhythmic Records can be felt globally. More than fifty producers have released or remixed original tracks on Newrhythmic Records. Some of these artists include Oscar Mulero, P.E.A.R.L., VSK, Ben Sims, Scalameriya, Svarog, and Bas Mooy. Joton has a healthy collection of releases on Newrhythmic Records himself and Røtter is definitely one of the most promising Spanish techno artists on the label. Joton
Joton is synonymous with techno, iron, futuristic and sensitive, all mixed with the precision and speed of a surgeon. His powerful personality and marked charisma, as DJ and producer, is based on a stylistic maturity, a professional serenity and a well-founded artistic criterion, always in constant and restless progression, through which everything that he pricks and produces is identified. His sound is industrial, analog and mechanical. Dystopia and the club are discussed. Detroit, Berlin and Birmingham.
Starting from the very marrow of techno. It is physical, blunt, modular and exciting.
His label `Newrhythmic´ has been more than 15 years supporting high-octane techno by native and foreign artists. Joton’s tracks have been published by labels such as Fabric, Symbolism, Planet Rhythm, Format, Dynamic Reflection, More Than Less ...
During these last years, Joton has been demanded to play in countries such as Japan, Holland, Germany, Russia, Argentina, South Korea, Italy, UK, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Slovenia, Malta, Austria, Georgia, France, Greece... As a DJ, he has evolved from his beloved and traditional vinyl to the current digital format. Thanks to it, Jotón enriches his sessions by providing an added boost to his innate ability to connect it to the dance floor.In 2015, a milestone occurred in his career with the publication of his first album 'Casting Out Nines' that garnered excellent reviews by the public and specialized press. It was considered one of the best works in long format of that year and this placed Joton in the focus of the entire global techno scene. He launched this album in 10 countries on 3 different continents.
In this 2017 his second great project will see the light. It will be called 'R3silient' and, through a vinyl trilogy, it will present his purest and analogical side; Returning, once again, to the primitive, to the seminal, to the roots of techno.

If you were to try and define Røtter's style with a word, it would definitely have to be intensity. His priority for percussion and rhythm over melody in his sets allows for Røtter’s audience to feel connected both mentally and physically, to him and to the techno.
Røtter, DJ and producer from Barcelona with over a decade on the scene playing at many different venues including Becool, Macarena, Row14, Florida 135, Barraca, Input, M7, Insert, Moog, R33, Razzmatazz, and venturing out of the country for gigs at Serdcebar (krasnodar, Russia), Secret Graden (France), Vagabond (Bogota) , La sala (Cali) , Club 1984 (Medellin), and Bloc to name a few. Sharing the decks with the likes of Oscar Mulero, Speedy J, Cristian Varela, Joton, EditSelect, Jose Pouj, Flug, Antigone, Christian Smith, AnD, JoachimSpeit and Aiken.
His productions send you floating off on a journey into atmospheres and pads whilst at the same time trying to keep the structures direct, for a more seamless line of mixing.
With a career that is constantly evolving, gone are the days of inexperience and adolescence, from which a more debugged and more mature sound has arisen. Always true to his original techno roots however, he continues to weave down the path he has set out for himself with the same personality as always and the same principles since day one.

Toronto native Vito Lucente formulates his distinct sound by blending the mechanical with spiritual, culminating a meditative state spawning deeper subconscious intimacy. Pulsating rhythms, deep hovering soundscapes and a discreet layer of emotion with prototypal Detroit attributes constitute the cathartic feel behind his productions and mixed sets. The gravitation towards experimentation of sounds creates an atmosphere of penetrating energy. Vito is the founder and host of Riots In Brixton podcast series and co-founder of The Perfect Organism.
