Patterns with O'Flynn

  • Our penultimate Saturday in June sees O'Flynn making a welcome return to Brighton, and a first at Patterns. A man who Boiler Room heralded as “one of dance music’s most prosperous newcomers”, O’Flynn’s got a bright future ahead of him. O’Flynn first caught our attention back in 2015, with the release of his iconic 12” ‘Tyrion’, which quickly became a staple for Four Tet’s sets. The B-side, ‘Desmond’s Empire’, was nothing short of a summer anthem, gaining festival plays across the globe from the likes of Gilles Peterson. His next output, ‘Oberon/Spyglass’, garnered similar attention - getting plays on Rinse FM & BBC Radio 1 from the likes of James Blake and support from Hessle Audio. It was no surprise when Phonica crowned his track ‘Aloha Ice Jams’ as one of the best singles of 2016. 2017 saw him go only further with his talents, with remixes for FaltyDL & Addison Groove, followed by his single ‘Tru Dancing’ becoming the soundtrack of the summer. O’Flynn is a man with an extensive back catalogue of tunes that have all been supported far and wide, and is undoubtedly one of the most exciting young talents around today - Boiler Room wasn’t wrong. Joined by residents Parry & Ovre, with Mr Bongo soundtracking the ground floor bar from midnight, this is going to be a memorable night. Support comes from our residents Ovre & Parry, with Mr Bongo providing their signature worldly sounds in the ground floor bar.
