Technology has long since been the cornerstone of both Dub and Minimal Techno. Over the years subtle rhythmic changes, dynamically bass frequencies and a liberal use of effects have all remained important elements of both genres. Through labels like Chain Reaction, UR and Plus 8, "Minimal Techno" was born in the early 1990's and with it the exploration of Dub in the underground dance music. This showcase features four gifted Minimal Techno / Dub producers - Soultek, Kate Simko, Robin Judge and Ruoho Ruotsi - representing three major North American cities - Chicago, Vancouver and San Francisco.
