We proudly bring back the famous secretsundaze party to NYC for one night only. After last year's successful launch in NYC @ LOVE with us, we have asked them
to combine forces once again to bring this special slice of London back to our doorstep. We have packed some serious heat to this lineup.
When we first heard of the Mountain People, we instantly fell in love with their productions. Loopy and afterhours special deep house as we like to call it. The
Mountain People is made up of Peter Dildo aka Rozzo, Serafin and Roman Bruderer all who hail from Switzerland. Although not much is known about Roman, the
main Mountain People DJs are Rozzo and Serafin. Rozzo first caught our attention with the opening track on the Tyrant mix compilation, 'Physical 2000.' Rozzo runs
his own label trackdown and has also produced tracks and remixes on his Moon Harbour, Plastic City, Tsuba Records, NRK Sound Division and his own imprint
just to name a few. Serafin many of you know very well and he needs no introduction. As one of first artists on Luciano's Cadenza label, his Funk Excursion Ep was
in the bags of every major djs in the world. Since then he has kept a low profile, and released only a few tracks + remixes on Bruchstuecke, Liebe*Detail, and
Four:Twenty Recordings. Since the birth of The Mountain People's record label in 2006, Rozzo and Serafin have been on fire. Their records have not left our record
boxes since then and we are very happy and excited to be the 1st in the U.S to have them play this exclusive debut date with us for Blk|market Membership.
Secretsundaze residents Giles Smith and James Priestley have had a very heavy touring schedule on top of a slew of productions recently from both artists. Giles
Smith is one half of the Two Armadillos production duo with Martin Dawson. Their recents releases can be found on Motivbank, Tsuba Records, Fear of Flying,
Dessous and Mood Music. James Priestley has produced under his own name for Will Saul's Simple records, Nonstop recordings, and Fine. Their party is regarded
as one of the best parties in London and has been going strong for more than 5 years. Everyone from Ricardo Villalobos, Tobi Neumann, Onur Ozer, Patrice Scott,
Both Giles and James are good friends of ours and we are very happy to have formed a good partnership with them to bring this special party right to us!
Also on the bill is Taimur's brother Nadir Agha aka Ostrich from Montreal. Ostrich will be performing warm up duties for this event and we couldn't have picked a
better opener to do the job for this deep house party. Nadir has been pretty busy in his city, running his own night 13% that has showcased guests such as Cassy,
Jimpster, Pheek and Akufen just to name a few. He's also running his own digital label Buy You Sell Me. The aim of this label is to donate all proceeds to a charity
of the featured artist's choice, as their motto indicates their goal, "Patching things up one track at a time." Just recently him and studio partner Maher Daniel have
released a track entitled Haute Couture. From Richie Hawtin to John Digweed who featured it on his recent Transitions radio broadcast, this track has been a hit with
many major players that Tiefshwarz have signed it to their Souvenir Plus label.
